The Main Entrance
The main driveway to the property is completed and decorative details remain
to be installed on the covered entrance which include the stone works.

Mansard Roof Details
With the vast majority of the mansard roof completed crews begin working on
the final touches and detail elements of the distinctive roof feature which
has come to dominate the buildings grand design.

Jacuzzi Installation
Construction crews pause to pose with the newly delivered Jacuzzi system
just prior to it's installation within the pool area.

The Mansard Roof
Is Completed
With the completion of the Mansard roof the true lines of the building can
be appreciated. With an improvement in the weather crews will now
begin focusing their attention

Taking Shape
Despite the difficult weather conditions (-25° with wind-chill) construction
crews continue to brave the elements as the Mansard roof begins to shape.

Model Suites
The completion of two model suites in December allowed visitors a glimpse at
the features and finishes that the Royalton Kanata has to offer.

While exterior brick is applied to the front of the building framing for the
mansard roof is slowly erected.

Exterior Brick
Brick and exterior stone work have now been installed and construction crews
continue work on the interior of the property.
Balconies
Crews use specialized lift equipment to complete the installation of
additional elements to the exterior balconies.
Studding
Interior stud work has begun as crews begin work on the interior spaces in
preparation for drywall.

Main Entrance
Tyvek has been installed in preparation for brick work.

Brick Delivered To
Site
Exterior bricks have been delivered to the site and the building is being
prepared for their installation.

Continues
Here we are in mid July and the building progresses at a steady pace as
construction crews take advantage of the warm summer weather.
Grand
Opening Of Presentation Centre
The presentation centre officially launched on the weekend of May 10th 2008.
Over the next two days over 200 people visited the presentation centre and
met with leasing staff.
Ground
Breaking Ceremony
The ground breaking ceremony for the Royalton Retirement Residence took place on March
7th, 2008. In attendance were representatives from Liberty Assisted Living, The Coram Construction Group,
and Councilor Peggy Feldmate. Representatives from the Kanata Seniors
Council, Western Ottawa Community Resource Centre, and The Kanata Food
Cupboard were also present to receive financial donations of support.
